Hazardous fuels reduction grant

The Hazardous Fuels Reduction Grant (or HFR) is a Summit County wide 50% cost match grant to assist in subsidizing the cost of creating defensible space around your home. This grant is most effective when adjacent properties are doing mitigation in the same calendar year.

Since 2011, Beetle Kill Tree Guys has worked closely with the Town of Blue River and Summit County Government to acquire over $500,000 in funding to help homeowners create defensible space around their homes.

We work directly with the homeowner throughout the whole process, from performing a defensible space evaluation to applying for the grant to completing the project; our goal is to make it as easy as possible to navigate this process. Beetle Kill Tree Guys has a 100% record of acquiring funding for over 300 hundred defensible space projects throughout Blue River and Summit County as a whole.
